Tom Bauer

Environmental Compliance Officer

Tom Bauer started his career with PPG Industries working as a Technical Services/Development Engineer focused primarily on herbicide process development. In 1984, he moved to Holland, Michigan, to work for Parke‐Davis as an Area Manager in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient manufacturing. Through his 25 years with Parke‐Davis/Pfizer, Tom advanced to lead the Environmental, Health and Safety and Materials Management Departments. In 2009, he joined the staff of the MSU Bioeconomy Institute as the Environmental Compliance Officer.

Tom received his BS in Chemical Engineering from MSU in 1979.
